Wind turbines are fairly complex machines that need to
be installed and integrated to work properly with the
grid, inverters and controller. They  should only be
installed by qualified technicians with a knowledge of
turbines. We offer technical support and trouble
shooting for all of our systems.

We sell Aurora Power-One inverters. Programming is
available for Windy Boy or Power-One.

30% Federal Tax Credit applies to our systems.

    FACTORS TO CONSIDER :

    AVERAGE WIND VELOCITY
The higher the wind speed the more power can be
    produced.

    TURBULENCE
Turbulence reduces efficiency and can cause damage to
    wind turbines over time.

    PREVAILING WIND DIRECTION
Direction of wind for the longest period of time without
    windward blocks.

    TERRAIN
The wind will give more speed in open areas.

    TOWER HEIGHT
Higher is usually better. The further you are from the
earth the more wind speed and less turbulence you will
have. Down side- maintenance, more susceptible to
    damage, may need guy wires.

    OBSTACLES
Trees and buildings will obstruct airflow and cause
turbulence. Open areas or areas close to water are best.

    LOCAL REGULATIONS
Be sure to check with state, county and local officials
before purchasing to be sure there are no restrictions on
    wind generators or tower heights.

    RETURN ON INVESTMENT
Many states and the federal government have incentives
covering the purchase of wind turbines. Most electric
service providers have a buy back option. Some states
    provide low cost financing.

GRID TIE OR BATTERY SUPPLY SYSTEM
Grid tie wind turbines connect directly to your electric
utility companies supply lines. It will feed your home
and send any extra electricity back to the utility
company, reversing your meter. When the wind is
blowing you will accumulate credit. When there is no
wind your utility will supply power for consumption.
Grid tie systems are usually less work for the home
owner and require less technical knowledge.

Battery systems of this size are high voltage and require
some knowledge to maintain. Batteries need to be
maintained and equalized as well as connections. There
is usually an alternate charging source for days when
the wind does not blow strong.

RETURN ON INVESTMENT
Many states and the federal government have incentives
covering the purchase of wind turbines. Most electric service
providers have a buy back option. Some states provide low
cost financing.

Unlike a swimming pool or a new car, wind turbines will
    add
    value to your property.
Most states charge no property tax on wind turbines.
